Warranty FAQs
What does the warranty cover?
Our warranty covers manufacturing defects in the film material under normal use and conditions. Covered issues may include yellowing, cracking, peeling, bubbling, adhesive failure, staining, or loss of clarity, depending on the product type.
What is not covered under the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, poor maintenance, road debris, accidents, chemicals, environmental exposure, normal wear and tear, or misuse.
Does the warranty cover installation or labor costs?
No. The warranty only covers replacement material for approved manufacturing defects. Labor, installation, removal, shipping, and transportation costs are not included.
How long is the warranty period?
- Clear & Satin Paint Protection Film: 10 Years
- Color Paint Protection Film: 5 Years
- Windshield Protection Film: 1 Year
Who is eligible to make a warranty claim?
The warranty applies only to the original purchaser. It is non-transferable and valid only within the United States.
How do I submit a warranty claim?
To file a claim, you must provide proof of purchase along with clear photographs of the issue. Additional information or an inspection may be requested before approval.
Are cosmetic changes covered under warranty?
No. Normal aging, color changes, gloss variations, finish changes, or appearance differences caused by environmental conditions are not considered manufacturing defects.
Paint Protection Film
Limited Warranty | Clear & Satin Paint Protection Film
Protective Film Technologies (“PFT”) warrants its Clear and Satin Paint Protection Films (the “Product”) to be free from defects in material and manufacturing for a period of ten (10) years from the original date of purchase (the “Warranty Period”). This Limited Warranty applies only to defects arising solely from manufacturing faults under normal use and conditions. Covered defects may include yellowing, cracking, peeling, delamination, bubbling, adhesive failure, staining, and loss of clarity, as determined by PFT in its sole discretion.
Scope of Coverage
PFT’s obligation under this Limited Warranty is strictly limited to the provision of replacement material for the portion of Product determined by PFT to be defective. This warranty covers material only and does not include labor, installation, removal, shipping, transportation, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Replacement material does not extend or restart the original Warranty Period.
Conditions and Exclusions
This Limited Warranty is conditioned upon proper storage, handling, installation, and maintenance of the Product in accordance with generally accepted industry practices. This Limited Warranty does not apply to any Product affected by improper installation, improper storage or handling, environmental exposure including road debris, chemicals, pollutants, organic material, or extreme conditions, improper maintenance or wash techniques, physical damage including impact or abrasion, surface defects or conditions present prior to installation, normal wear or aging over time, or use outside intended automotive applications. This warranty also does not apply to any damage to paint, clear coat, or underlying surfaces, including during installation or removal, or to any variation in appearance not determined by PFT to be a manufacturing defect.

To initiate a claim, the purchaser must provide proof of purchase and sufficient photographic evidence of the issue. PFT may request additional information or inspection. All claims are reviewed and approved by PFT in its sole discretion.
Eligibility
This Limited Warranty applies only to the original purchaser, is non-transferable, and is valid within the United States only.
Limitation of Liability
PFT’s liability under this Limited Warranty is limited to replacement material only. PFT is not responsible for labor, loss of use, business interruption, or any indirect or consequential damages.

Colored Paint Protection Film
Limited Warranty — Color Paint Protection Film
Protective Film Technologies (“PFT”) warrants its Color Paint Protection Film (the “Product”) to be free from defects in material and manufacturing for a period of five (5) years from the original date of purchase (the “Warranty Period”). This Limited Warranty applies only to defects arising solely from manufacturing faults under normal use and conditions. Covered defects may include cracking, peeling, delamination, bubbling, adhesive failure, and loss of adhesion, as determined by PFT in its sole discretion. Color and finish may vary over time depending on environmental exposure and conditions and are not guaranteed.
Scope of Coverage
PFT’s obligation under this Limited Warranty is strictly limited to the provision of replacement material for the portion of Product determined by PFT to be defective. This warranty covers material only and does not include labor, installation, removal, shipping, transportation, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Replacement material does not extend or restart the original Warranty Period.

This Limited Warranty applies only to defects arising solely from manufacturing faults under normal use and conditions. Covered defects may include delamination, bubbling, adhesive failure, and loss of clarity not caused by external impact or abrasion, as determined by PFT in its sole discretion.
Scope of Coverage
PFT’s obligation under this Limited Warranty is strictly limited to the provision of replacement material for the portion of Product determined by PFT to be defective. This warranty covers material only and does not include labor, installation, removal, shipping, transportation, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Replacement material does not extend or restart the original Warranty Period.

This Limited Warranty does not apply to any Product affected by impact damage including rock chips or road debris, scratching or abrasion from normal use or wipers, improper installation or maintenance, environmental exposure, chemicals or contaminants, optical distortion or visibility concerns not determined to be a defect, surface damage to the underlying glass, or normal wear over time. This warranty also does not apply to any variation in clarity or performance not determined by PFT to be a manufacturing defect.
